Our online Animation Program is designed to peel back the curtain and show you how professional animators create realistic environments and characters in video games, movies and other interactive media. You will explore the 12 principles of animation used by legendary studios and apply that knowledge to your creations.
The online Animation Bachelor of Science Degree offers three concentrations suited to your specific interests. You can choose to pursue Visual Effects, Environment & Character Design or Character Animation. This concentration takes a deep dive into the mechanics of animation and rigging. Students learn the 12 principles of animation with an emphasis on manipulating character movements in a software-based environment.
This concentration teaches students the techniques involved in modern game-environment creation. The course structure focuses on developing both background characters and environments for the film and game industry.
From storyboarding, sketching and modeling to special effects and final compositing, this concentration takes students through the entire production pipeline of an animation studio. This concentration will enhance students’ technical proficiency and creative development in animation.
