Title: Spring Term 2015 Film Editing (Final Cut Pro) Internship For An Exclusive Web TV Series
Description of Series:
SHOW ME THE F#©K!NG MONEY is a new web TV series being developed for a global audience interested in an intimate insiders look at film financing and distribution that did a soft launch in 2014. The series focuses how to invest, raise and recoup money in the film business and features one on one interviews with A-level industry people that make it happen.
Utilizing Manager-Producer Steve Adams’ and Entertainment Lawyer Vinca Jarrett’s exclusive rolodex and years of experience producing finance events around the world (Cannes, Toronto, Berlin), the series will provide audiences interested in the business of film a close up on who’s who in financing and distributing films, and the professionals behind the scene making it happen. The series focuses on the sex appeal of the business, and the myriad of reasons people become involved in financing films, which are not just focused on “return of capital”. Each one on one interview, lasting from 5 minutes to 30 minutes, is with someone considered A-List in the business of film, and focuses on their unique path into the business, who inspired them, and their tips for how to mitigate risk in investing in movies.

Position:
We are currently looking for individuals that have an interest in film editing, and a desire to grow their skills and add the experience in web television to their resume, as well as an ability to have future references. Interns will be editing and working with the show’s producers and senior editor to create quality segments and promotional pieces for the upcoming series. Segments to be edited include interviews with major film financiers, distributors, and other professionals in the business of film. All interns will be provided a credit as an editor on their edited segments for the show for which they complete a full delivery as instructed.
Each intern is required to finish three (3) full interviews at a minimum in order to successfully complete the internship, taking instruction from the show’s producer and senior editor.
Interns will work off-site (at home) on their own laptops (you must have Final Cut Pro). Two weekly meetings will be held for which attendance is mandatory (the time will be set at the beginning of the internship based on the group’s overall schedule), as well as one meeting/week with the show’s producer to go over your specific work. Although each editor works at a different pace, the expected time commitment for the average intern has been 10 hours a week. This is a unique opportunity to learn editing skills for a web tv interview format series working for seasoned producers and professionals in the entertainment business. The internship is unpaid.

Interns who seek credit for this position should settle all procedural issues with their college prior to applying for this position. All internships are unpaid, and all interns will sign a release form. Students work in exchange for valuable experience and training to hone their skills.
