Congratulations To Our Award-Winning Graduates
Two of our grads worked on the Mad Max : Fury Road, which took home 6 Oscars at the 88th Academy Awards in Hollywood
After an evening of surprising wins and impressive performances, one film collected a half-dozen Oscars during the 88th Academy Awards ceremony. A grizzled Tom Hardy fought his way through legions of Immortan Joe’s finest to help George Miller achieve this accomplishment. Two of our graduates, Ariana Miller (Computer Animation, 2013) and Derek Hultquist (Computer Animation, 2013) helped bring the post-apocalyptic road trip to life in 3D.
Ariana Miller has continuously blazed a trail working on blockbuster films, including Ridley Scott’s The Martian, James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World, Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past and the JJ Abrams-directed not-so-indie film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Derek Hultquist has also worked on numerous tentpole franchises, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy and Godzilla.
Mad Max: Fury Road won the following Oscars during the 88th Academy Awards: Best Costume Design, Production Design, Makeup & Hairstyling, Film Editing, and both Sound Mixing and Editing.
