When Was Women’s History Month First Recognized?
Women’s History Month celebrates the contributions women have made to the United States and recognizes the specific achievements women have made throughout history. The origins of Women’s History Month dates back to the 1980s. Congressional proclamations designated March as the official time period to highlight the vital role of women in American history.
