Following the first annual Animation Smash, several contest winners had the opportunity to attend the 2013 Creative Talent Network (CTN) conference in Burbank.

Louis Kaufman, the Grand Prize winner at Animation Smash, secured his own presentation table as his prize for winning a character modeling contest, and was able to promote his artwork while networking with industry titans.

CTN was a great experience. I was able to meet a lot of cool artists. I had a few recruiters grab my resumes, and had a lot of fun.

Louis is 19 years old, and is already making lasting industry contacts after presenting his excellent character modeling skills during Animation Smash.

At The Los Angeles Film School’s booth, Instructor Damian Szeibert perfomed a live Digital Sculpting (Zbrush) demonstration at our booth as well as in the Pixologic area.
Computer Animation instructor Andreas Joblanka had a live Compositing (NUKE) demo at the LAFS booth as well.
Industry heavyweights attended and did live portfolio reviews for our students who attended. Companies such as Sony, Walt Disney Pictures, Riot Games, Blue Sky, and more.
