DJ Camp with Paul Oakenfold

The Los Angeles Film School hosted a 5-day DJ Camp, led by the Electronic Music Academy and hosted by Paul Reder and EDM icon Paul Oakenfold. In addition to the 5-day DJ Camp,  all attendees of the intensive were eligible to be signed to Perfecto Records, and submitted their original remixes to the judges during the academy.

Each day, students of DJ Camp had the opportunity to sit in small groups and glean industry tips for success from music icons, and network with each other between sessions.

This new, intensive program for budding artists wanting to kick-start their music career was developed by high-profile experts in their fields and includes: hands-on workshops, in-studio demonstrations, lectures and Q&A’s with world-renowned DJ’s/producers, managers, agents, promoters, entertainment lawyers and equipment specialists. The expert speaker lineup includes the following ‘who’s who’ from the world of electronic music, including:

Paul Oakenfold, considered the “Godfather of Electronic Music” and one of the greatest DJ/producers in the world. Oakenfold shares insight into his legendary career, from his beginnings in the music business, to his phenomenal success with the industry leaders he has worked with. Attendees are given an unprecedented Q&A session with Paul.

Jason Kadlec, A digital and social marketing expert helped launch world-renowned digital music companies INgroovesFontana and Topspin. Kadlec was also an instructor on online marketing for the Berklee College of Music Online school and has spent years building and managing websites and online marketing for electronic music artists including Bassnectar, Amon Tobin, EDM festivals such as Bass Camp Fest as well as best selling authors and celebrities.

Liquid Todd, on-air personality and DJ/producer from XM/Sirius Radio. Todd is a pro at producing live DJ performances and training on-air personalities. He is a creative radio producer, music programmer, and freelance music writer for national magazines and newspapers.

Paris Blohm, A DJ who is quickly rocketing onto the scene, Paris brings a mix of passion and talent to the table, providing insights about how to market yourself, as well as how to stay focused in an intense industry filled with competition.
