“Leave The World Behind” Screening on Campus
On Tuesday night, The Los Angeles Film School and The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce hosted an advanced screening of the music documentary Leave The World Behind, which follows world-famous DJs Swedish House Mafia as they tour the globe one last time before calling it quits to pursue solo careers. The film, directed by Christian Larson, implemented stylized camerawork and sporadic animation to depict the band’s journey.
Musicians Axel Hedfors, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello candidly discussed SHM’s beginnings, the transition of a bunch of “music-obsessed kid” to bonafide superstars, and the group’s ultimate decision to part ways. The three also let cameras in on their family lives, depicting the difficulties associated with being on the road for so long at a time. The emotionally-charged, visually stunning documentary is available exclusively on iTunes on April 15th.
