We are proud to have hosted Animayo, featuring women in animation, visual effects and video games. In addition, we recently hosted Naughty Dog Sr. Character Artist, Colin Thomas. In addition, we have hosted Solomon Blair, who demonstrated the latest features introduced in the new version of ZBrush 4R8 in 2017. In addition, we have hosted Maximus Julius Pauson, whose work includes Rick and Morty, King Star King, Disney’s Future Worm, Camp WWE, Toasty Tales, Disney Infinity And Niko and the Sword of Light. We have also hosted Disney’s Animation Supervisor for Moana, Malcon Pierce, where he talked about the process of making the groundbreaking film. On November 4th, we were joined by Pedro Conti, an exciting keynote speaker from Disney who worked on the new feature film, Moana. In October, we featured Damian Szeibert, a 3D Digital Designer at Disney Consumer Products. Damian has worked in the animation industry for over 17 years, with clients ranging from NBC, Sony Pictures, Fox and Warner Brothers. In addition, he has been an active member of the Pixelogic team for the past 5 years. At Animation Smash, Damian showcased the behind-the-scenes details of creating art for Disney and Marvel, and answered questions from the audience. In July, guests came face-to-face with an 80-foot blue whale in The Blu, a stunning VR game showcasing the work of Animation Instructor Daniel Fiske and his Academy Award-winning team at Wevr. Other previous guests have included Jacob Norris, an environment artist at Naughty Dog. Jacob recently completed work on the hit PS4 title, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and has also worked on titles including Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Resistance 3. Other previous guests include Leon Gittens (Hotel Transylvania 2) and William Recinos (The Little Mermaid, Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin, Fantasia 2000, Pocahontas). On May 17th, we featured Cinzia Angelini, who has worked on such films as Mila, How to Train your Dragon: DVD Special, Kung Fu Panda: DVD Special, and most recently, Minions.
