Advanced Audio for Media
Discover the Golden Age of Audio. The Advanced Audio for Media course introduces the advanced skills required to produce audio content for specialized media contexts such as live events, podcasting and digital media. Students will explore the tools and techniques of professional workflows in audio mastering, game sound, and audio postproduction.
Large Format Consoles
Get studio time in and outside of the classroom. Students train in a recording studio featuring the school’s largest analog console: a 48-channel Solid State Logic Duality with both analog signal routing and processing and control surface functionality. Upon completion of this course, students will master audio signal flow, control surfaces as well as the computer automation and recall systems they employ.
Audio System Technology
Solve real-world technical problems in the audio industry. In this course, students are introduced to component level analog circuitry, including amplifiers, patch bays, consoles and outboard gear. Students explore the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both analog and computer-based digital audio workstation software and components.
